A startup is a high-risk business. Investors choose to invest only in startups, that have a potential 10x or 100x return on their investment. But you, as a founder, cannot diversify your time. So, in order to minimize the risk, it’s a good strategy to join a startup that has a high potential to grow and be successful.
Try to look for startups that have a very high potential to be a unicorn.
And it doesn’t have to be your startup. It’s better to have small shares in a potential billion dollar business, instead of doing a high-risk business.
