Watching your breath will grow your left prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain most responsible for feeling happy. Meditation takes practice, but it’s one of the most effective methods you can use to calm your mind, reduce distractions, reduce stress, reduce worries, and be happier as a result. Science has shown that meditating five minutes a day is already enough to see a difference in happiness.
If you’ve never meditated before, just close your eyes for one minute and focus all your attention on your breath.
When you feel comfortable with this, start doing longer sessions.
