When we praise our children for even their plainest of accomplishments, it leads them to develop a false sense of what it takes to excel, as well as a belief that they are entitled to praise and recognition. This type of thinking will negatively impact their work performance as adults—after all, no one praises adults for every little thing!
Refrain from praising every little thing your child does.
Children do not require rewards for every achievement of theirs. Praise and reward their outstanding achievements only.
