  1. Know the six ghosts of fear.
    They are the fears of poverty, criticism, ill health, losing someone you love, old age, and death. All other fears come under the blanket of these fears.

  2. Tell yourself that you are strong enough to defeat these fears.
    The next time you feel one of these fears, tell yourself, “I am strong enough to defeat this.”

  3. Begin uprooting these fears from your mind.
    Banish the fear from your mind whenever you feel it creeping up on you. You will need to do this consciously at first, but with practice, it will become a subconscious habit.

  4. Keep your mind closed to all who depress or discourage you.
    Anyone who consistently causes you to feel any of the above fears is someone you should not keep close.
