It is very easy to fall back into old, negative habits when we are around others indulging in the same ones. Reminding yourself of your goals, and surrounding yourself with others who share your commitment to your goals, will keep you on track.
Take note of whether you are being influenced by others.
Do you catch yourself mirroring other people’s behavior—especially behaviors that bring you further from your goals?
If so, spend a few minutes every morning reminding yourself of your goals.
Also, think about what others around you may do that could tempt you into indulging in behaviors that would take you further away from your goals. Prepare yourself for those situations.
Cultivate a social group that supports your goals.
Begin spending time with people who have goals similar to yours so that their behavior will support your goals.
